The perfect “almost weekend getaway” at the beach
Saturdays are for weekend getaways, food, more food and of course food again! I’ve been to tons of beaches in Nigeria by the way (okay not tons per se, but I’ve been to a lot). I am happy to announce that I finally (I mean unquestionably) found the cleanest beach in Lagos! Yup, and it is all the way at Ibeju Lekki. In case you don’t know where that is, it is about 10 hours away from Lekki phase 1. It is so far that on our journey there I thought we had driven pass Abuja (Okay, that’s not as funny as I wanted it to be, I’m just kidding, it’s not that far). Was it worth it, the drive?
Uh, hun!!! It was worth every second. I went on a company mini-vacation (it was just a day out, to be honest, but I wish it was a weekend getaway)

How much do you need to have so much fun?
Now, for those who have no problem spending money (hey, I’m not dissing anyone), here’s a list of some of the things you can do: kayaking, riding a bicycle, riding a jet ski, going on a boat cruise and other stuff. The good thing is each of these activities is affordable, so, you can have as much fun as you would love to without spending so much.La Campagne has this thing with money, right. They have their own currency, therefore before you can spend money, you would have to convert it to their currency. 1 Naira buys 1 of the La Campagne currency. I thought this was quite fancy, maybe unnecessary but nice.
MY COCONUT DRINKI spent most of my time playing water volleyball and I had so much fun!! Initially, I was going to go kayaking with a friend. I really, really wanted to row a boat all by myself, but I lost track of time and I eventually didn’t. But I had time to get busy with my camera, putting my photography skills (lol, skills I wish I had) to good use. There were a number of team games we played, I represented my team in the sack race. We lost.Proof of my photography skills
I forgot to take pictures of my meal this time around, I was too hungry to bother taking photographs. The company was responsible for our meal, so I really can’t give an honest feedback on how the food made at the beach tastes. However, I did buy a coconut drink and I loved it. Since I have no pictures of the meal I had, I’ll just share a few of the landscape photographs I took.
STILL THE “OOL”
